It's a bunch of lovely authors standing up and reading short horror stories (written by them for the event) for the enjoyment of the audience. Of course I jumped at the chance :). It was so much fun last year and looks to be just as great, if not better this year.
When: 18 September, from 7.30pm (doors at 6pm)
Where: The Phoenix, Cavendish Square, London (nearest tube: Oxford Circus)
Price: £5, plus 95p booking charge (not their fault - it's a standard charge by the booking company)
Den of Geek has a post with the full listing of authors and details here:
Tickets are now on sale for Den of Eek 2: Urban Legends!
All proceeds go to Den of Geek's Geeks vs Cancer appeal, so it's in a great cause and last year the stories were brilliant. You can buy last year's offerings in eBook form, proceeds also going to the charity:
Den Of Eek! A Collection Of New Horror Fiction (at Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com)
Also if you're a writer and can make the date, you can submit a story to be considered as well. Here is the post all about how on Den of Geek's site: Den of Eek 2: a call for short story writers. Closing date is 23 Aug 2013, so get your writing hats on.
