I think they are headed in the right direction with it. Still needs more customisation options, but it doesn't seem to break in the way my layout used to sometimes and I have all my links and things on my journal page which I keep open.
Of course I imagine it's less helpful when you only have the one page and I have no idea what it looks like on mobile devices.
Ohh and I almost forgot, I like how it tells you how many new posts there are in the tag bar :).
