Pairing: Arthur/Merlin (if you squint)
Midwinter in Camelot was cold and dreary. Merlin was not made for the cold; he was tall and lanky and wasn't able to keep an ounce of fat on himself no matter how he tried.
When he entered Arthur's rooms, Arthur was still in bed, where Arthur would stay until the fire made the room much warmer. Only Merlin couldn't make the fire light; his fingers were cold and he couldn't make them work.
"Oh for god's sake," Arthur said and Merlin turned to see Arthur lifting the bedclothes, "get over here and warm up; you're useless to me frozen."
