Merlin likes winter, even with all the snow and rain.

He knew that made him insane as far as some people were concerned, but he found the season peaceful. The ebb and flow of life was so slow and it calmed him in a way nothing else could.

It also provided the excuse to cuddle up to another warm body to stay toasty under the covers and that was all the excuse Merlin needed. Yes, he definitely loved Winter and he smiled as he snuggled down next to Arthur and pulled the blankets up over them just a little more.

Hmmm...

Well the cold from hell, as I have christened it, is easing off thank heavens. I woke up this morning and could actually breathe through my nose. It didn't last long and my lungs felt like they were made of concrete, but it's definitely getting better :). Rob has gone to buy some First Defence because he has a sore throat which is how mind started. Let's hope he catches it in time.

This one is an energy zapper of the first order, I feel about as creative as a wet sponge!

I have, however, figured out a good method for doing the drabbles - I lie in bed of an evening thinking one up, words and all, let it stew in my brain overnight and write it down in the morning. Seems to be working so far :)

A worthy cause in need

ihlanya posted about this and she didn't ask us to repost, but I thought it was good cause and deserved some recognition. Near her up in Scotland there is an animal sanctuary called Willows which is a registered charity, but they have been hit by the recession. They are in danger of closing, which would mean all the abused animals they home would have to be put to sleep. They look after animals which cannot be re-homed with other people because of the abuse they have suffered, so there is no alternative for them.

Money has been tight this year for everyone, but if you can spare just a little, their site is here:
